Two Indoor Wilmington Spots for When the Forecast Doesn't Cooperate
An escape room on Princess Street and a golf-simulator bar at Mayfaire, both fully indoors, both worth the trip even when it isn't raining.

Wilmington gets its share of soggy stretches, especially in late summer, and a rained-out weekend doesn't have to mean a cancelled one. Two spots around town are built for exactly that, indoor, all ages, and good for a group.
The Escape Ventures, on Princess Street downtown, runs immersive, story-driven escape rooms with movie-quality sets: rescue a lost golden retriever, join an elite magic society, or pull off a casino heist, all in about an hour. It's a solid pick for team-building outings and special occasions too, not just rainy afternoons.
At Mayfaire, Rounds keeps you swinging no matter the weather. Four bays run pro-series Full Swing golf simulators, the same tech used to track real ball flight with no delay, putting you on 80+ real courses, or you can play basketball, football, or soccer with real equipment instead. Fairway and Golf bays run $50 an hour for up to 6 people (under $9 a head), or go bigger in the VIP bay for up to 12. Ledo Pizza's on the menu while you play.
Both are worth keeping in your back pocket, for the next rainout, or just a Tuesday that needs a plan.
