Our story
Built for people who actually live here.
ILM Live is Wilmington's local guide to events, music, food, and everything worth doing in the Port City — curated by a local, updated every Thursday.
Why we exist
Wilmington is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country — 493,000 people in the metro, millions of visitors every year, and more than 120 new restaurants and bars opened in 2025 alone. There's an extraordinary amount happening here.
But finding it all in one place has always been harder than it should be. Events are scattered across Facebook groups, venue websites, and local Facebook pages. There's no single source that answers the question locals and visitors ask every week:
“What's happening in Wilmington this weekend, and where should I go?”
ILM Live fixes that. One site, no algorithm deciding what you see, no national aggregator padding the results with events from Charlotte or Raleigh. Just what's actually happening here — this week, in Wilmington.
What we cover
How we work
ILM Live is built by someone who attends Greenfield Lake concerts, visits local breweries, and genuinely wants a better answer to “what's happening this weekend.” The food truck tracker, the pet-friendly guide, and the concert coverage weren't dreamed up in a boardroom — they came from real weekly pain points felt by someone who lives here.
Free for everyone
Listing your event on ILM Live is free and always will be. If you run a venue, throw events, or just want Wilmington to know something cool is happening — submit it. Our team reviews every submission and typically publishes within 24–48 hours.
