Cabana Bar & Grill opened its doors on Pavilion Place on August 17, 2026, bringing island-style food, drinks, and décor to a corner of Wilmington that didn't have anything quite like it. We got in early, and it's the kind of easy-going Caribbean spot the city needed more of.
The rum punch alone gave full island vibes. The homemade Jamaican patties were the real deal, the kind of thing you can tell someone in the kitchen actually cares about getting right. The mango mahi was yummy, straightforward and well-executed, the sort of dish that turns a first visit into a plan to come back.
Cabana leans into the theme without overdoing it, relaxed, coastal, full of flavor, right down to the décor. It's open for lunch from 11 AM and dinner from 4 PM daily, with weekend brunch too, and has since added live music on weekend nights, so there's now more than one reason to swing by.
