Cape Fear Kite Festival

Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce presents the Cape Fear Kite Festival, the final kite event of the professional kite flying season. Friday: afternoon sneak peek at Kure Beach Pier, then "CB Aglow" at dusk on Carolina Beach Beachfront with lighted kite displays and a drone show. Saturday & Sunday: main festival at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area with over 80 professional kite flyers, music, food trucks, craft beverages, and kids' activities. Free admission and free parking.
